Prof. Catherine Jematia Kiprop is a distinguished Professor of Educational Management and Leadership at Moi University, Kenya. With over three decades of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership, she holds a Doctor of Education from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, South Africa. Her career spans secondary education, university teaching, and senior administrative roles, including Director of the Institute for Gender Equity and the Institute of Gender, Diversity and Peace Studies.
Prof. Kiprop is a prolific researcher and published scholar in the areas of educational leadership, gender and diversity, strategic planning, and institutional culture. She has supervised numerous postgraduate students and has been involved in curriculum development and academic programme review across various institutions. Internationally engaged, she has contributed to academic forums and consultancies in Africa and beyond, particularly on gender equity, academic freedom, and transformative leadership in higher education.
She serves on several editorial boards, peer review panels, and policy task forces, and is a member of professional bodies such as the Educational Management Society of Kenya and the Africa Multiple Cluster of Excellence Board. Passionate about empowering women and youth, she is actively involved in community development, church leadership, and mentorship programmes across Kenya.
