Dr Lesley Masters is a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at Nottingham Trent University UK. Her research has developed a critical analysis of the role of sub-national and non-state actors in global governance, with a particular focus on science diplomacy and parliamentary diplomacy. Her current research focuses on the global governance of science and digital technology, particularly the role of Africa in these negotiations. This includes consideration of space governance and the increasing challenges facing the space environment. Lesley has been an editor of the South African Foreign Policy Review since 2015 and an invited research associate for the South African Research Chair in African Diplomacy and Foreign Policy, University of Johannesburg, and Visiting Fellow at the Institute for Diplomacy and International Affairs, Loughborough University London.
